Three Diet Trends To Try

Last Updated on December 30, 2020 by HodgePodgeDays

Dieting is just damn hard. It doesn’t matter when you’re trying it, it is just one of the hardest things to get into a routine of. If you went through January sticking to you dieting goals, then hats off to you. One of the main reasons why people struggle with a diet so badly is they dive straight into it. There’s no gradual reduction, and pretty much everything that is bad about their previous diet is cut out. But that soon leads to cravings. Cravings lead to failings. But this is where we’re here to change things for you. There are three diets for you to try, some are harder than others. But if you gradually reduce yourself into them, we know you’ll be successful.

Three risks every kitchen gardener needs to know

Vegan

This one is only really going to work if you’re prepared to give up meat and fish. We understand that both of these are a huge part of your diet, but they’re not that hard to give up. There are plenty of worthy replacements that you can fill your diet with. The health benefits of which are amazing. Your body will see a rise in the vitamins and minerals you’re getting, and you’ll often feel as though your mind isn’t as clogged up. Your metabolism will pick up as well! You will have to find certain supplement replacements to get some of the vitamins and minerals you need, such as omega 3. Omega 3 for vegans is pretty hard to come by. But there are natural replacements that will give you more than enough of what you need. Though the vegan diet is good, it doesn’t mean you have to cut out the other junk foods that might be in your life. Try and eat a clean vegan diet during the week, and have a treat or two when the weekend comes around. It’ll stop you binge eating on the foods that really aren’t good for you.

Paleo

One of the most strictest diets to follow, but one of the most rewarding. The paleo diet is based upon the principle that we should only be eating the foods that our cavemen ancestors would have been able to forage from the land. The results of which are amazing for your body. It is a complete detox of the body that without knowing, you’re probably craving. The one hard part about this diet is you are drastically reducing your carbohydrate intake. Where you should be strict on cutting out other things such as the salt and sugar, you should be a little more lenient with the carb intake to begin with. It can be a big shock to your body if you do it all in one.

5:2

This is one we know you’re all going to love, and there isn’t much explaining to be done about it. You basically spend two days a week on a calorie reduced diet, eating only 500 calories at the most. Those 500 calories need to be from healthy foods! On the other five days, you can be a lot more leniant. That doesn’t mean eat all the junk food you want, but it does mean you can have a little treat here and there. Just try and stick to healthy foods where you can or the diet will be pointless.
