My Sunday Photo 12.6.16

This week I had a bit of time to play with my camera. A couple of years ago I inexplicably bought myself a “Photo Studio Kit” for £25. The studio is a box made of white material and has a couple of lights and a little tripod to put your camera on if you want.

I’ve no real idea why I bought it when I did but I’m glad I did. I’ve been practicing some of the things I learned on my photography course last month and I’m pretty pleased with some of my snaps. I know I’ll look back in a year and see that they’re actually rubbish, but I wasn’t in auto and that’s a great big start for me.

Here’s a picture of a picture of my new favourite mug from the Manchester Bee Company

Still lots and lot more practicing to do, but getting it all out of the box and having a play is not a bad first step.

Happy Sunday!

  1. Looks good. I’ve been toying with the idea of buying a similar kit for a while. It’s probably time I invested in one given that they’re relatively inexpensive.

  2. I love having a bit of time to play. I was bought a photo backdrop for my birthday and have been enjoying learning to use it. I’d love some lights. Maybe next year 🙂 Can’t wait to see more of your pics. #MySundayPhoto

  3. I’m so envious, unfortunately I am pretty rubbish with anything like that. It looks like a lot of fun, I wish I had the patience. Good luck with the photos x

  4. Hi Jane, I’ve never heard of a photo studio kit before, so will be checking that out! As with anything we do, if we don’t practice we won’t improve and I bet you capture some goodies!

I like this photo. It’s different.

    xx

  5. I think it take perserverence with photography and it sounds like you’re really enjoying it. I’ve got a tripod and I really like it. My husbands keeps nicking it though x

  6. I always wanted to learn how to use a camera as I am using it in auto mode. I think buying a kit is a nice way to enhance photos =) #mysundayphoto
